David Coruzzi studied music at McMaster University. David has studied guitar with Jeff McFadden, as well as Peter McAllister. David has been teaching teaching guitar for over fifteen years to ages 8 and up.

The process @ffsog  is that each student is evaluated, and assessed on their skill level and music understanding. From this assessment, personal lesson plans and instructional materials are developed . Every student will be taught guitar technique, chords,  how to read music, music tablature, as well as music theory and ear training. Every student learns differently. Some are more visual learners, some are aural, and some can be both. Differentiated instruction is an effective tool that tailors students' different learning needs. 

  Fret Friendly School of Guitar believes learning guitar should be fun . Once a student reaches a certain level /point , they are encouraged to learn songs that they enjoy. This makes it more  enjoyable for  a student. Different styles or genres are encouraged to learn.  In some cases ,students are encouraged to write their own songs , or pieces within the criteria they learn in the lesson. Students love this approach , and it is effective teaching method . Settings goals for each student is also important and encouraged. Students are encouraged to perform each semester. 

Students progress is tracked. Communication with parents ,  or guardians is  important for every students development. This way,  we can work together , and overcome obstacles. We can discuss an individual practice schedule, and how the students should practice the lessons they are assigned.  This is very important to a students growth. 

Fret Friendly School of guitar uses technology to help with tackling issues. Video taping with lessons and practicing are encouraged. This way  issues can be addressed more quickly, and students see where their problems are.  As well, Apps are used  for ear training , and fretboard exercises.
